Sarajane's Ceramics began about 20 years ago. Sarajane, wanting a
night out, went with a friend to a ceramics class
and to another and to another. She was hooked.
She started to make ceramic pieces for
family and herself.
Then she started to make pieces as gifts for friends and
relatives. In 1983 she started to make pieces to sell and that is how
Sarajane's Ceramics started.
Sarajane's Ceramics was located in Princeton, New Jersey.
In Princeton she sold to various
retail outlets including the Wit & Whimsy on Princeton's prestigious
Palmer Square. She also sold at juried craft shows.
The business moved to Connecticut in 1991. While there, Sarajane sold to numerous stores,
including the Mole Hole, stores in Fairfield County, CT and in Newport, RI.
The internet business began in 1997 and has accounted for an ever increasing portion of the sales. Internet orders have thus far gone to 45 states, Canada and Hong Kong.
Since moving to beautiful Williamsburg, VA, Sarajane continues to sell at selected craft shows.
The items are individually crafted. All work is completed by the artist.
